Request The Food Lover's Guide to Paris from our catalog.
This title provides travelers with a well-considered, comprehensive
guide to all manner of Paris food, from bistros to chocolate shops.
Wells arrived in Paris in 1980 to live, research, and write a guide to
the city's food. Her book, reissued repeatedly since 1984, is divided by
category such as restaurant, bistro, market, pastry shops, and cheese
shops. Within these sections, establishments are listed by
"arrondissement", or district. The short and to the point but completely
enticing entries are sprinkled with the author's experiences and
preferences. Wells provides each establishment's contact information,
hours, approximate prices, and nearest metro station. The guide also
includes 40 recipes and a French/English food glossary. Library Journal (05/15/2014)
